Job Description

The Human Resource Generalist in Berwick, PA will run the daily functions of the HR Department. This is a day-to-day, employee facing role responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations including benefits, leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in shaping the work culture, promoting employee engagement, and driving talent development to support a thriving and productive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the hiring process of hourly employees including job posting, prescreening, scheduling onsite interviews, new hire orientation and onboarding. Facilitating pre-employment screenings.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to; benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, recognition and morale.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate manager.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. Providing coaching to supervisors when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Assisting with the implementation and training of all HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all personnel files both physical copies and input in HRIS (ADP)
  • Weekly and Monthly reporting and record keeping.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist preferrable in the fields of manufacturing or construction
  • Experience in Leaves of Absence including FMLA, ADA reasonable accommodations and Short/Long Term Disability
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, preferable ADP
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills



Additional Information

The Salary Range for this position is $63,700 - $75,000 annual base salary + annual performance bonus. We also off the following benefits:
