Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Duluth, MN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring continuous monitoring, advanced nursing interventions, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, adaptable, and experienced in high-acuity ICU environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex IV therapies.
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment including ventilators and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team on treatment plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and ICU best practices.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Minnesota (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
