Automotive Office Manager
Reports To: CFO / Controller
Location: BMW of Downtown Los Angeles
Compensation: $6,000 – $6,500 per month
Position Summary
We are seeking an Automotive Office Manager with dealership experience to oversee accounting operations and support executive leadership. This role is ideal for an entry-level office manager with strong automotive accounting knowledge who is ready to lead a team and manage day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management

Oversee dealership accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

Manage daily floor plan activity, line of credit, and flooring payoffs

Monitor and optimize corporate cash management and forecast cash flow needs

Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, reserve accounts, factory payables, and floor plan balances

Review and process dealership debts and obligations within AP/AR

Prepare information for tax planning and reporting in a timely manner

Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Maintain confidentiality of all financial and organizational information
Leadership & Staff Oversight

Recruit, hire, train, and retain accounting staff

Direct accounting team workflows and ensure proper procedures are followed

Establish a positive team culture through leadership and employee development

Manage employee schedules and resolve conflicts as they arise

Improve employee and customer retention through proactive communication and problem-solving
Operational & Administrative Duties

Process and verify invoices, expense reports, vendor statements, and payroll

Ensure proper handling of DMV contracts and dealership documentation

Manage vendor relationships and ensure adherence to contracts

Calculate and report sales tax requirements

Maintain compliance with dealership policies, CompliGo requirements, and company standards

Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum of 4 years of dealership accounting experience
-
Prior experience as an Office Manager in an automotive dealership

Strong knowledge of DMV contracts

Thorough understanding of dealership accounts payable and receivable, including various dealership debts

Familiarity with dealership financial processes, floor plans, and compliance requirements

Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Equipment & Tools Used

Computers, phones, calculators, photocopy/fax/scanning equipment

Standard office tools (pens, staplers, paper clips, etc.)

Physical Requirements
