Key Responsibilities:
The Anesthesiologist will be tasked with delivering high-quality anesthetic care throughout the facility while adhering to compliance standards. Key duties include:
- Providing a full spectrum of anesthetic services, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative anesthesia delivery, and post-anesthesia care.
- Operating in various areas such as the OR, PACU, ICU, wards, and clinics as required.
- Conducting patient examinations, gathering medical histories, and utilizing diagnostic tests to assess surgical risks.
- Administering anesthesia or sedation during procedures using diverse techniques.
- Collaborating with surgeons to coordinate anesthetic plans and managing life support and airway needs as necessary.
- Making informed decisions regarding patient stabilization and recovery following surgery.
Candidate Preferences (Qualifications):
- Critical Care Certification is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $390,000 - $400,000
- Incentives: Relocation Assistance, Sign-on Bonus
- Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Up to $40,000 per year tax-free for up to 5 years, totaling up to $200,000 to help reduce educational debt.
Additional Information:
- Call Coverage: Yes, one week per month.
- Academic Affiliation: No faculty appointment available.
- Practice Environment: Inpatient/Outpatient
- Consideration for Recent Graduates: Yes, recent graduates are welcome; current trainees are not considered.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with additional on-call duties during the week and weekends.

Qualifications for VA Physicians:
To qualify for a position as a VA physician, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited in accordance with VA policy.
- Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent from an accredited institution recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Residency Training: Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, leading to board certification eligibility.
- Board Certification: Must be board eligible or board certified in anesthesiology and critical care.
- English Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English.
