The Role
The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations across Bravas, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards. This role provides strategic financial leadership, manages the company’s accounting infrastructure, and partners with executive management to support decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis. The Corporate Controller plays a key role in system integration, process improvement, and maintaining the integrity of financial information across all business units.
What You’ll Do
- Direct and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal control procedures.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Develop, document, and implement efficient accounting policies, systems, and procedures across the organization.
- Partner with the Vp of Finance and executive leadership to provide financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee consolidation and reporting for multiple business units; review results for accuracy, revenue recognition, and appropriate cost allocation.
- Support annual audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting software systems and integrations to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and lead accounting staff, fostering professional growth, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems; QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop experience a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong command of other Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience leading accounting teams, managing multiple priorities, and implementing process improvements in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and adaptability to changing priorities.
