Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education teaching position is based onsite at an elementary school in Espanola, NM. The role involves providing specialized instruction through pull-out and inclusion models to support students with individualized education program (IEP) goals. The contract employment is structured as a W-2 arrangement.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing tailored lessons aligned with students' IEPs, fostering a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and behavioral success, and utilizing evidence-based instructional and behavior management techniques. Collaboration is essential, working alongside general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support. The role also requires monitoring student progress with accurate documentation to comply with state and federal regulations and participating actively in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reporting.

Qualifications for this role include a Bachelors degree in Special Education and active New Mexico Special Education Teacher certification. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.
