SUMMARY:
As a Product Manager at ABOUT Healthcare, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and product lifecycle plan of our healthcare software products. Working with Product leadership and internal and external stakeholders, you will support the development and oversee execution of ABOUT’s suite of solutions which support and enable patient transitions in their healthcare journey.
In this role, you will develop and execute product strategies that align with ABOUT’s vision and market needs by overseeing a team of Product Owners and partner engineering teams. You will lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. The Product Manager will source market knowledge and monitor industry trends to create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines planned features and enhancements.
**This role is based in our St. Paul MN office and requires an in-office presence 3-4 days a week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Product Strategy and Vision: Support the Director of Product in defining the full product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap in alignment with business objectives, user needs, and industry trends. Continuously evaluate the healthcare market to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Support facilitation of product governance to ensure alignment to ABOUT’s strategic goals and business requirements.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Clearly articulate products and features and lead Product Owners and development teams in driving the full product portfolio and lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement. Create and maintain product development plans that communicate feature prioritization based on customer needs and business objectives. Ensure the product aligns with regulatory requirements and complies with relevant healthcare industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, HITRUST, etc.). Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and launch.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, client success, clinical and implementation teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. Act as the bridge between technical leaders and non-technical stakeholders, translating market and customer needs into actionable product features.
- Market and Industry Knowledge: Stay current with the evolving healthcare landscape, including regulations, technologies, and market trends. Understand the competitive landscape and ensure the product remains positioned as a leader in the healthcare software market.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, vision, and strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, cross-functional teams, customers, and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Computer Science, Healthcare, Business or equivalent. Prefer a Master's (or comparable advanced) degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of prior product management or development work experience with a significant portion spent in healthcare technology or software.
- Proficiency in using product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Aha, etc.).
- Strong technical acumen to understand and communicate product strategy, vision, and requirements.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working in a private equity-funded, emerging growth organization.
- Experience working with healthcare providers, payers, or patients is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development processes is a plus.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated sense of curiosity and the courage to ask insightful and tough questions.
- Experience in various aspects of healthcare, such as hospital administration, health plan operations, outpatient services, ambulatory care, value-based reimbursement
- Experience influencing both indirectly and directly across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Must possess political savvy, ability to function effectively in the face of ambiguity and excellent relationship-building skills
- Superior leadership, organizational, analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal skill to facilitate effective relationships inside and outside of ABOUT
