Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital with experience in both adult and pediatric radiology exams and current BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital
  • Night shift position, 4x10s, Monday through Thursday, 7:30pm-6:00am
  • Operate in a high-volume department averaging 70-80 adult and 15-20 pediatric patients per day
  • No floating required outside the assigned department
  • Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients
  • Use Siemens Sequioa equipment and a full range of transducers
  • EPIC EMR is utilized
  • Weekend rotation and holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Traveler contracts are 13 weeks with assignment to a consistent shift for contract duration
  • Responsibilities include performing comprehensive radiology ultrasound exams on diverse patient populations
  • Support structure includes lead tech, modality supervisor, and an Imaging Manager
  • Department features a collaborative team culture with diverse experience levels
  • Five-day departmental orientation provided, with flexibility for traveler needs
  • Black scrubs are required for technologists
  • Free parking is available
  • Travelers will be included in fair call and holiday shift rotations
  • All RTO requests require manager approval
  • License required if applicable

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Modality-specific certification such as ARDMS in AB, OB, or BR required if applicable
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented approach
  • First-time travelers are accepted
