Academic Cardiac Electrophysiologist Opportunity - Springfield, IL

Join a dynamic and growing cardiology team in Springfield, Illinois, and shape the future of cardiac care. This unique academic opportunity blends clinical practice with research, providing a supportive environment for professional growth and innovation.

Practice Highlights

Collaborate with a team of 4 general cardiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, and a growing group of electrophysiologists.
Midlevel support includes 4 Nurse Practitioners, one of whom is EP-trained.
Manage a full spectrum of EP cardiology, including AFib management and device procedures.
Dedicate 20% of your time to academic pursuits, including research and educational initiatives.

Schedule & Clinical Focus

Up to 2 full procedure days and 3-4 half-day clinics per week.
Even split between clinical care and EP lab work (approximately 50/50).
No formal call schedule, promoting work-life balance.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary with significant earning potential.
$10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
Comprehensive benefits: $3,000 CME allowance, 5 weeks PTO, 13 holidays, full health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
