Account Director (General Cigar)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer & Chief Marketing OfficerExperience: 10+ years in advertising agency account leadership
Position Overview
The Account Director serves as the senior business lead for General Cigar, one of Moosylvania's largest and most strategic clients. This role is responsible for building trusted client partnerships, leading integrated teams, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence across the account.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, confident communicator, and strong leader who can navigate complex business challenges while inspiring teams to deliver exceptional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic partner and trusted advisor to General Cigar.
- Lead a portfolio of large-scale business while ensuring client satisfaction, agency profitability, and long-term growth.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships.
- Partner with Creative, Strategy, Media, Production, and Operations to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
- Lead annual planning, business reviews, and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee account financials, forecasting, staffing, scopes, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing business and expand agency partnerships.
- Mentor and support Account Directors while fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest standard.
- Partner closely with the CEO and CMO to support agency and client business objectives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of advertising agency experience.
- Experience leading complex, integrated client relationships.
- Proven success managing large client portfolios ($1M+ preferred).
- Strong financial acumen, forecasting, and scope management experience.
- Experience leveraging consumer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and business data to inform strategic recommendations and drive innovation.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights and support data-driven decision making.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring others.
