Position: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems used in a variety of industrial applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept through implementation, playing a key role in ensuring performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, components, and control solutions for industrial applications
- Create and revise schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD tools
- Support system integration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting efforts
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and production teams to execute projects
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, UL, etc.)
- Participate in equipment commissioning, startup, and validation processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing system performance
- Provide technical expertise to support internal teams and customer needs as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design within industrial, manufacturing, or related environments
- Proficiency with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
- Experience with power distribution systems or control panel design
- Familiarity with PLCs, control systems, or automation technologies is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of NEC, UL, and other applicable standards
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
