About the RoleThe Quality Control Scientist supports manufacturing operations by performing quality testing and compliance activities in accordance with cGMP and aseptic practices. This role is responsible for routine laboratory testing, documentation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to all quality and safety standards to ensure product integrity.Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing of manufacturing samples to ensure quality and compliance using approved assays
- Apply good aseptic practices during all laboratory activities
- Maintain testing schedules and ensure adequate reagent supply
- Complete documentation in accordance with cGMP guidelines
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and facilities
- Follow all Quality Standards, Policies, and Procedures
- Provide limited input for laboratory investigations (LIRs) and minimal project support
- Utilize and maintain understanding of QC software systems
- Work with MODA EM, zLIMS, and SAP systems
- Perform routine pipetting and preparation of media and reagents
- Conduct media fill inspections and equipment monitoring
- Follow all established safety practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (preferred)
- Experience working in a quality control or laboratory environment
- Knowledge of cGMP documentation practices
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory safety
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records
- Basic proficiency with laboratory software systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or animal health manufacturing
- Experience with MODA EM, LIMS, or SAP systems
- Hands-on experience with media preparation and environmental monitoring
Work Environment
- Manufacturing quality control laboratory
- Onsite, regulated environment
