Job Title: Endoscopy / Special Procedures Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: York, ME
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 4 Shifts/Week (36 Hours) + Call Rotation
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy / Special Procedures RN to join a fast-paced ambulatory and procedural care setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after endoscopic and special procedures while collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff. This role requires strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and the ability to thrive in a patient-focused environment. Occasional holiday coverage and call rotation are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in Endoscopy and Special Procedures areas
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor patient condition throughout procedures
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
- Assist physicians during procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in scheduled call rotation
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Maine
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
- At least 1–2 years of Critical Care or Endoscopy experience preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS/CLS certifications
- Strong assessment, communication, and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
