PrideStaff, on behalf of our valued client, is seeking a high-energy, versatile Field Service Technician to join their growing team. This role is perfect for a "handy" individual who enjoys a mix of hands-on mechanical work, digital troubleshooting. You and the team would be the face of the company at various facilities, you will ensure equipment is installed and running at peak performance as you visit companies across the US and Canada.
Job Responsibilities
- Mechanical Fieldwork: Perform hands-on repairs, maintenance, and new installations of equipment at various client facilities.
- Remote Troubleshooting: Use digital platforms (WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet) to troubleshoot issues and communicate with the home office or clients.
- North American Travel: Travel approximately 50% of the time to different states across the U.S. and Canada.
- Digital Documentation: High proficiency in computer use, specifically for uploading site photos and maintaining accurate repair logs.
- Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact during site visits, providing professional support over the phone and in person.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team structure while multitasking across different projects and locations.
Job Requirements
- Bilingual Proficiency: Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) to communicate with diverse teams and clients.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong "handyperson" skills with proficiency in basic hand/power tools and general repairs.
- Electrical Knowledge: Previous experience with electrical work is a significant plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with people across various digital platforms.
- Cultural Competency: An open-minded approach to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and environments during travel.
- Availability: Ability to work a consistent schedule of 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (with a 30-minute lunch).
- Professional Image: Must adhere to the dress code: Polo shirt, jeans or work pants, and non-slip shoes.
- High Energy: A proactive, high-energy personality is essential for this fast-paced role.
- Must be willing to submit to a preemployment background check and drug screen.
