We are a leading ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified plastic injection molding manufacturer specializing in high-precision medical device components. We are seeking an experienced Electrode Designer & CNC Programmer to join our toolroom team. This role will be responsible for designing electrodes, programming CNC machining operations, and producing high-precision electrodes for EDM processes. The ideal candidate has strong CAD/CAM skills, hands-on CNC machining experience, and a commitment to the accuracy and quality required in medical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrodes for EDM processes using CAD/CAM software.
  • Program and operate 3-axis CNC machines to manufacture electrodes with precision.
  • Develop and optimize machining programs for accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Inspect electrodes using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrode design, programming, or machining.
  • Document programs, setups, and processes in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Collaborate with toolroom, engineering, and quality teams to ensure electrodes meet design and functional specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all company safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and machining (medical or plastics industry preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with 3-axis CNC machining for electrode production.
  • Knowledge of electrode design principles for EDM processes.
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma, certificate, or degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field.
  • Experience in a toolroom supporting plastic injection molding.
  • Background in medical manufacturing or other high-precision, regulated industries.
