Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting K-12 students with diverse learning needs. This role begins ASAP and continues through June, providing essential instructional and behavioral support tailored to individual student requirements. The position involves managing a caseload of students and collaborating closely with educators, families, and related service providers.
Location: Elk Grove, CA
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 5 days a week
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt curricula and teaching methods to meet diverse learning abilities
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work within a team
