A key member of the inpatient and outpatient care team, the ED/Hospitalist APP is responsible for the 20-bed inpatient acute medical unit as well as the 6-bed emergency department. The APP will also perform outpatient procedures as scheduled and cardiology patients presenting for nuclear treadmills. This position is perfect for a provider seeking excellent variety during their shift, who can work well with a multidisciplinary team as well as independently, and enjoys a flexible schedule.

Work Schedule: Currently night shift – equivalent to three (3) 12-hour shifts per week. Scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Able to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently
- Care of patients presenting to ED, respond to all rapid responses, and all emergency C-sections
- Provide care for admitted hospital patients (ICU, stepdown, telemetry observation, and skilled nursing)
- Outpatient procedures as scheduled (nuclear stress tests, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis and paracentesis) and cardiology patients presenting for nuclear treadmills.
- Network with other hospitals and departments to provide best overall consultation for patients by being a resource for the acutely ill or critical patients

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of Hospitalist or acute care experience
- Preferred experience: 3+ years of Hospitalist experience
- Minimum Required Education: Master of Science in Nursing – APRN, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate program (PA-C)
- Preferred Education: DNP
- Active Kansas APRN or PA license; DEA License
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP
