Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for practice in Michigan
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and IEP-writing skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and monitor progress for students with communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary school teams to optimize student success
- Provide engaging therapy sessions targeting language, articulation, fluency, and social communication
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for all services rendered
- Offer support and resources to teachers and families regarding speech/language development
