Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support at an elementary school during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Fremont, CA. This contract position offers an opportunity to support students in developing their communication skills in a focused, intensive summer setting.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP certification for school settings
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Ability to deliver individualized therapy sessions effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and educators
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students for 20 hours total during the ESY period
- Conduct 4-hour sessions daily, promoting speech, language, and communication development
- Document progress and collaborate with the educational team to adjust goals as needed
- Participate in ongoing training or meetings related to student needs and program objectives
Schedule and Duration:
- Approximately 4 hours a day
- 4 weeks total during the ESY session
