Position Overview
Coan Eye Care is seeking a motivated, personable, and clinically strong Full-Time Optometrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, comfortable practicing full‑scope optometry, and eager to build long-term patient relationships within a thriving private practice.
This role offers clinical autonomy, a positive work culture, and the opportunity to practice the highest standard of care without the pressures of a corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, and other medical conditions
- Fit and evaluate soft and specialty contact lenses
- Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care for refractive and cataract surgery patients
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment recommendations, and vision solutions
- Collaborate with technicians, opticians, and administrative team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in our EHR system
- Contribute to a warm, welcoming, and patient‑centered office environment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Active Florida Optometry License (or eligible)
- Strong clinical skills with interest in medical optometry
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and communication
- Team‑oriented, positive, and dependable
- New graduates and experienced doctors are encouraged to apply
