Job DescriptionSalary: $22.00 per hour
Accelerated Claims is currently seeking a full-time Healthcare Biller.
Requirements:
- Understanding of healthcare insurance billing policies and procedures
- Understand various healthcare plan types, private commercial, Medicare (A, B & C), Medicaid, etc.
- Understanding of UB04 and 1500 billing
- Understanding of Coordination of Benefits with respect to health insurance
- Ability to read and review healthcare explanation of benefits, determine reasons for denials, patient responsibility, payment accuracy, etc.
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task
- Ability to work independently while being a part of team(s)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with ability to navigate a variety of systems simultaneously
Preferred:
- 3-5 years experience in medical billing, preferable with health insurances including Private Commercial carriers and Government payers
- Experience in a physician or hospital billing office
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and MVA Insurance
Responsibilities:
- Validating claims in claim editing system
- Attaching medical records as required
- Ensuring claims to be filed is completed
- Following up on payment with appropriate payers
- Appealing denials at claim level and line level as necessary for complete payment
- Posting payments as appropriate
Job Details
- Job Type: Full Time (remote after training)
- Location: Kennesaw Corporate Office for training and then Remote once training is completed
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 8am-5pm
- Hourly: $22.00/hour
- Paid Time Off: 120hours/yr
