Innovating, creating, and product development, dealing with large customers and chains Responsible for product development, partnering with customers, interfacing with quality control, and product optimization Be the outward customer-facing person for inquiries, and handle product specifications and new product ideas Support quality control testing Work alongside 1 other food scientist to handle all research and development of new products and flavors Support FDA audits Handle all food and safety regulations on site with partnership from other departments Oversee formulation, testing and commercialization of new products Develop and maintain product specifications and labeling accuracy Improve ingredient sourcing, cost efficiency, and production processes Handle a fast-paced R&D pipeline with multiple projects at once

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Masters Degree in Food Science or related field Minimum of 10 years experience in R&D for food and beverage industry Strong focus on beverage development (open to sweets, flavors, or something like ice pops with natural ingredients) knowledge of flavor applications Experience with FDA compliance - juice and fruit concentrates a major plus experience with large customers and chains product development and innovation

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $170000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
Annual salary + annual bonuses based on company performance. 401K with matching program after 1 year of employment. Paid bank holidays, 10 days vacation + 5 days sick leave. Open to relocation benefits.
