Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students within a contract position from ASAP through June 2026. The role is full-time, requiring 32 to 37.5 hours per week, focused on providing specialized instruction and behavioral support to students, particularly those with autism.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working with middle school-age students
  • Demonstrated expertise in behavior management, specifically with autism spectrum disorders
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively in an inclusive educational setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with staff, families, and related service providers

Location:

  • Middle School setting, Hanover, NH area

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
  • Use behavioral strategies to promote positive social interaction and academic engagement
  • Collaborate with general education staff and specialists to enhance student learning
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates on student performance and behavior
