Position Summary:
The Clinical Performance Specialist is responsible for supporting our medical group’s clinical activities through data analysis, report creation, and performance improvement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives on working with numbers and data to drive meaningful change. You will collaborate directly with the Director of Clinical Performance and other key departments such as Billing, Coding, and Finance. Training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Interpretation
- Build tables and performance scorecards, and schedule recurring reporting tasks.
- Analyze and interpret clinical performance data across programs, quality measures, and provider activities.
- Produce weekly performance reports summarizing provider activity and visit data.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement using data and dashboards.
- Support practices by providing the data needed to stay in compliance with performance metrics.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, billing, coding, and finance to develop action plans.
Performance Improvement
- Partner with clinical and administrative teams to design and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts in care management, coding, and quality to implement performance-enhancing interventions.
- Recommend changes in workflows, policies, and procedures to support clinical performance goals.
- Assist in driving a culture of continuous improvement across clinical sites.
- Provide onsite support to clinical teams to improve documentation and reporting related to performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Healthcare-related field preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a performance improvement or data-focused role
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Comfortable using email and digital collaboration tools
- Familiarity with healthcare data, performance metrics, and compliance requirements
