Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 14 Weeks (Potential for Permanent Conversion)
Shift: Night Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Schedule: 5 Days per Week | 35 Hours per Week
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and complex laboratory testing in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing results, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring accurate diagnostic support for patient care.
Compensation
Local Candidates:
- $50 – $60/hour
Travel Candidates:
- Up to $70/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemistry and hematology testing.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results with accuracy.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Conduct quality control procedures and maintain proper documentation.
- Process specimens and ensure accuracy in sample handling.
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology.
- Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (NYSED).
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience.
- Strong background in chemistry and hematology.
- Ability to work independently on night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- BLS Certification.
- Experience in hospital or high-volume laboratory settings.
