Position: School Psychologist, Hamlet NC
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 Hours per Week
Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 – June 3, 2027
Work Setting: Onsite Only (Virtual Services Not Available)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to join a student-centered educational team for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students across multiple school communities while working alongside educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to promote academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and student success.

Assignment Details
Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
School-year assignment: August 17, 2026 – June 3, 2027
Itinerant position serving 3–4 school sites
School assignments and schedule will be determined collaboratively by the district based on the psychologist's preferences and district needs
Onsite services required; virtual services are not available for this position

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments.
Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed written reports.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and eligibility determinations.
Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and special education planning.
Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement intervention strategies.
Support student mental health, behavioral interventions, and positive school outcomes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.

Qualifications
Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of practice.
Strong assessment, consultation, and report-writing skills.

Preferred
Experience working in K–12 school settings.
Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple school sites.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
