Summary: The Warehouse Staff supports daily warehouse operations by performing shipping, receiving, inventory counts, raw material preparation, staging of final products, and warehouse organization in alignment with the ERP system and FSSC 22000 requirements. This role contributes directly to traceability, hygiene, inventory accuracy, and food safety by ensuring materials are handled, stored, and documented correctly in a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks safely while preventing damage, contamination, or material mix-ups.
- Drive the forklift carefully respecting all safety rules in place.
- Inspect trailers during receiving and shipping activities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with requirements.
- Receive raw materials and miscellaneous items by verifying purchase orders, packing lists, and physical quantities, and enter receptions accurately into the ERP system, ensuring full traceability (lot/batch numbers).
- Prepare shipments and ensure all required shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Supply the production floor with the correct materials as required, ensuring material identity and traceability are maintained.
- Perform inventory counts accurately and in a timely manner, and immediately report any discrepancies, damaged materials, non-conforming products, food safety hazards, or deviations.
- Support proper FIFO/FEFO stock rotation practices.
- Communicate effectively with Production and Quality departments regarding material status, discrepancies, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Operate computer systems and basic Microsoft Office tools required to perform job functions.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with FSSC 22000 requirements and ensure organization according to ERP locations, quantities, and material status.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, pest prevention, and contamination-control requirements at all times.
- Report any issues related to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to the Warehouse Lead or other identified personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Lead or Management.

Education and/or Experience & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- Drive-in forklift experience required. Raymond Turret truck/Reach truck experience is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to follow FIFO/FEFO and traceability requirements.
- Understanding of basic FSSC 22000 food safety and storage principles is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on an occasional basis and push/pull up to 60 lbs. frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling of materials for up to 8 hours per day.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Pushing and pulling various plant materials and/or equipment.
- To be authorized to work in USA - we participate in E-verify.
- To pass a drug and background screening, according to the company`s policy
Environment
- The noise level in the work environment does not require hearing protection.
- Required dress code/PPE includes long pants and safety steel toed shoes. A high-visibility safety vest is required and provided where applicable.
- PPE is provided when entering the production floor (lab coat, hairnet, beard net).
