Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This Registered Nurse role focuses on providing high-quality critical care within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, primarily serving adult to geriatric patients. The position offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills in managing complex medical conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, and more. This contract position is based in Decatur, GA, where the healthcare environment is diverse and dynamic, allowing for both professional growth and meaningful patient impact.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience; first-time ICU travelers welcome
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Skilled in managing a broad range of critical care diagnoses including cardiogenic shock, COPD exacerbations, liver failure, drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT, and more
• Familiarity with healthcare systems such as Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Ability to float within facility and practice scope as needed

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Commitment to work major holidays as outlined in the schedule

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with a ratio of 1:2-3
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain compliance for timely start
• Participate in orientation and clinical screening processes as required
