Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position supporting students in grades 4 through 8 in Greenwood, IN. This contract role offers a chance to work full-time with a manageable caseload and a supportive team in a school setting. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Indiana Teacher Certification in Special Education (Mild Interventions).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Teacher Certification in Special Education (Mild Interventions) required
- Experience working with students in grades 4-8 preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paras and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
Position Details:
- Contract period: April 20 to May 21
- Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Caseload of 15 students supported by two paraprofessionals and two RBTs both in the special education classroom and the general education classroom
- Responsibilities include providing individualized instruction, behavioral support, and collaborating with the education team to meet students needs
