Position Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The NP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborating with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with various types of wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and surgical wounds.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and best practices.
  • Perform wound care procedures such as debridement, dressing changes, and application of advanced wound care products.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare and Nevada Medicaid guidelines for wound care services.

Requirements:Qualifications

  • Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada.
  • Certification: Board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Wound Care (e.g., CWCN, WCC, or equivalent).
  • Experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Familiarity with Medicare billing and documentation requirements for wound care services.
