We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a full-time employee role with our client in Bridgewater, NJ.
- Act as the primary internal resource for accounting systems administration, including user access management, project setup consistency, troubleshooting, and data integrity reviews.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, coordinate relationships with vendors and service providers, and ensure overall operational efficiency within the workplace.
- Maintain and standardize project documentation workflows from project initiation through final closeout, including budgets and contracts.
- Support employee onboarding and HR administrative functions, including benefits coordination and confidential personnel record management.
- Administer subcontract agreements and purchase order processing within Procore while maintaining accurate integration with Sage 300 accounting records.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor billing activity, including detailed review and routing of AIA payment applications and supporting documentation.
- Enforce subcontract compliance procedures related to lien waivers, insurance certificates, and payment authorization requirements.
- Manage weekly accounts payable activities including payment processing, ACH transactions, and accurate allocation of project expenses to appropriate cost codes.
- Partner with company leadership on month-end financial reconciliation efforts to validate project cost reporting, WIP schedules, and ledger accuracy between systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience supporting accounting, operations, or administrative functions within the construction, contracting, or real estate development industries.
- Extensive working knowledge of Procore, particularly within project financials and contract management modules.
- Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 CRE or comparable construction accounting/ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles including job cost tracking, retainage management, subcontract compliance, and lien-related processes.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to professionally manage vendor and subcontractor accountability regarding contractual and compliance obligations.
