Job DescriptionDescription:
- Operate mobile, tower, or crawler cranes to lift, move, and place loads according to lift plans and site requirements.
- Interpret load charts, rigging plans, and lift diagrams to ensure safe crane configuration and operation.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of crane equipment, controls, wire ropes, hooks, and safety devices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections on cranes and other machinery; report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and equipment usage throughout shifts.
Requirements:
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation.
- Mechanical knowledge related to cranes, loaders, backhoes, excavators, dozers, and other construction machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating trucks such as tanker or front loader trucks.
- Experience operating cranes (including tower or mobile cranes) with certification preferred.
- Familiarity with construction materials like concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
