Sales Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager is a people and process leader, responsible for optimizing sales processes, systems, and providing people leadership. The Sales Operations Manager acts as the operational backbone of the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve sales processes for the dealer network, from order intake through order handoff and post-sale support.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal customers, ensuring consistent processes, documentation, and communication standards.
- Oversee the Order Processors and the end-to-end order entry process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely release to production.
- Oversee Sales Designers and the sales design process, ensuring vehicle designs align with customer requirements, engineering standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Establish, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for order entry, sales design, dealer submissions, and approvals.
- Manage CRM and sales systems, ensuring data accuracy, adoption, and reporting integrity across sales, dealers, and designers.
- Develop and maintain sales dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports.
- Support forecasting and demand planning in coordination with Finance and Operations.
- Act as the liaison between Sales and Operations/Manufacturing to ensure smooth order handoff and issue resolution.
- Support pricing governance, discount approvals, and deal review processes for dealer sales.
- Lead sales operations–related projects, including system implementations, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or sales analytics.
- Strong experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and influence without authority.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting complex or custom manufacturing sales environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and sales-to-production handoff processes.
- Background in process improvement or Lean methodologies.
