Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in La Porte, Indiana, serving students within a school district in Porter Township. This contract role runs from January 15, 2026, through May 28, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek Monday through Friday.

The SLP will support a caseload of approximately 80 students across three buildings, including both general education and applied skills students. Flexibility in school placement within Porter Township is desirable to meet current needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings
  • Strong skills in speech-language assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to effectively serve students with a range of communication needs, including those with applied skills
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy procedures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite speech-language evaluations and therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and caseload data in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and provide ongoing updates regarding student progress
  • Adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs across multiple school settings
