Location: Hamlin, TX 79520 (On-site)
Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week guaranteed (No weekends, No on-call)
Pay: $38.50/hour

This Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) role is ideal for an experienced clinician who enjoys hands-on patient care, functional mobility training, and working collaboratively with a Physical Therapist to support safe outcomes for older adults. Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility training
  • Perform patient support techniques such as positioning, transfers, and safe ambulation progression per plan of care
  • Track and document patient progress, tolerance, and functional outcomes in a timely, accurate manner
  • Communicate treatment results, observations, and patient response to the Physical Therapist
  • Support a patient-centered rehab approach in a Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing environment
  • Maintain compliance with safety practices, clinical standards, and facility policies


Qualifications


  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Texas (or compact license accepted, if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of PTA experience (required)
  • Experience in Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or geriatric rehab strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in gait training, balance training, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility
  • Comfortable with consistent documentation and reporting in a clinical setting
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site during scheduled day shifts
