This position is not a fit for someone with no prior office background. We are looking for someone with real professional office experience who is comfortable handling calls, follow-up tasks, client communication, and day-to-day administrative work in a fast-paced insurance agency environment.
Insured ASAP is a growing independent insurance agency based in Worth, Illinois. We represent dozens of insurance companies and provide coverage for auto, home, and small business insurance, with a strong focus on business insurance. Our business clients include auto dealers, property owners, truckers, and other small business owners. While many of our clients are in Illinois, we are licensed and write business in over 30 states.
We are hiring a full-time Business Insurance Customer Service Representative to support our commercial lines service team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, dependable, and comfortable speaking with both clients and insurance carriers throughout the day.
Position Details
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Pay range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
- In-office position in Worth, Illinois
Responsibilities
- Intake client messages and basic service requests
- Handle billing-related inquiries
- Contact insureds regarding payment reminders when needed
- Reach out to insurance carriers for billing or policy information
- Follow up with clients regarding inspections and outstanding requirements
- Collect information such as driver information, location details, photos, and other underwriting items
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding account servicing matters
- Draft professional emails and written follow-up communication
- Accurately document communications and updates
- Use AI tools appropriately to assist with certain communication and administrative tasks
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional office setting
- Strong phone skills and willingness to make outbound calls and follow-up calls
- Professional communication and client-handling skills
- Ability to draft clear, polished emails
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Comfortable using computers, office systems, and web-based portals
- Ability to write effective prompts to use AI tools to assist with certain tasks
- Dependable, professional, and able to manage multiple open items at once
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance experience is preferred but not required
- Bilingual in Arabic or Spanish is preferred
- Customer service, billing, account support, or administrative office experience is strongly valued
