Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) to contribute to outstanding perioperative care. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting surgical teams and ensuring optimal outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring necessary instruments and surgical supplies are properly sterilized and ready
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout each surgical case
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and provide high-quality care
- Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Anticipate surgical team needs and adapt quickly to changes during operations
- Ensure proper care, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedures and patient information according to established protocols
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT)
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Demonstrated experience in an operating room setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
