Team Overview: We are a passionate team of technologists, data scientists, and analysts with backgrounds in operational intelligence, law enforcement, large multinationals, and cybersecurity operations. We obsess about designing products that will change the way global companies, governments and nonprofits protect themselves from external threats and global adversaries.

Position Overview: As the HR Manager, youll design and implement human resources programs that strengthen our organizational capability, foster employee engagement, and ensure compliance with evolving labor regulations. Youll lead recruiting, compensation and benefits, policy development, and performance management all while maintaining the agility required in a rapidly growing startup environment.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building systems from the ground up, mentoring leaders, and shaping a high-performance culture where people thrive.

Responsibilities



Recruiting & Workforce Planning

  • Own the full lifecycle recruitment process: workforce forecasting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure new hires align with Atreides mission, values, and operational needs.
  • Manage offer creation, contract generation, and succession planning programs.

Performance & Development

  • Manage the execution of company-wide performance review and recognition systems.
  • Coach managers through performance improvement plans.
  • Manage and design employee training, onboarding, and professional development programs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Lead annual salary reviews, compensation benchmarking, and benefits administration.
  • Analyze trends in pay equity and market competitiveness.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure compliance with all benefit and labor requirements.

Policy, Compliance & Employee Relations

  • Maintain and evolve the Employee Handbook and HR policy framework.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for leadership and staff on employee relations, conflict resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Manage investigations and sensitive employee matters with discretion, empathy, and fairness.

Organizational Development

  • Partner with leadership on culture initiatives, change management programs, and organizational design.
  • Develop programs that promote engagement, collaboration, and employee well-being.
  • Manage employee surveys and turn insights into actionable strategies.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain HRIS and accurate employee records, metrics, and reporting.
  • Oversee headcount budgeting, departmental spending, and compliance reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to design and implement HR policies, systems, and programs from the ground up.
  • Strong strategic and systems-thinking skills able to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and long-term growth.
  • Results-oriented and action-driven mindset, with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Highly adaptable and resilient, thriving in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, compensation frameworks, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills, with the confidence to deliver and receive constructive feedback effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building inclusive, equitable, and accountable workplace practices.

Desired Qualifications

  • HR professional designation (e.g., SHRM-CP, CHRP, CIPD).
  • Experience in the government contracting, defense, or data analytics industry.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced startup or scaling environment.
  • Proven success building and scaling HR programs in fast-paced, mission-oriented environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy and integrity, fostering trust and collaboration across diverse teams.
