Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position is ideal for candidates passionate about delivering individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized education plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance learning outes
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools to evaluate student performance
- Maintain clear and consistent munication with parents and guardians
- Support behavioral management and social skill development
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with middle school-aged students
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to create inclusive lessons that acmodate diverse learners
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working in an educational setting
