We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our Radiology/Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with radiation oncologists, physicists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and treatment plans.
- Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment.
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain precise treatment documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Perform routine quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures and side effect management.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
Skills Required:
- Radiation Therapy treatment delivery
- Oncology patient care
- Radiation safety and quality assurance
- Acute care or outpatient oncology experience
Certifications Required:
- Active Radiation Therapist License (State-specific)
- ARRT (T) – Radiation Therapy
- BLS
Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
Charting / EMR: Required, Epic
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $77.74 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
