Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students through Extended School Year (ESY) programs in the greater Fontana and Riverside area. This itinerant role is ideal for adaptable professionals with experience in California schools, adept at traveling between multiple sites and providing high-quality physical therapy services to diverse student populations.

As part of this position, you will collaborate with teams to identify summer caseloads and address therapy minutes needing completion from previous school years. The role may also include supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), making leadership and mentorship skills a plus. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply to better serve bilingual students and families.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Physical Therapist licensure required
  • Prior experience in California school settings is essential
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites as assigned
  • Comfortable with supervision responsibilities for PTAs
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in an educational setting
  • Assess, identify, and manage summer caseloads across multiple school sites
  • Monitor and complete required therapy minutes, including those deferred from previous years (2024-2026 SYs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports per district guidelines
  • Foster collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Supervise and provide guidance to PTAs as needed
