HiFyve is hiring a Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!
Pay Rate: $32–$38/hr
Location: Plymouth, MN
Shift: Day Shift 7 am to 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including horizontal/vertical milling and mill/turn machines with multi-axis, twin spindles, and twin turrets
- Operate machines of a complex nature with little to no supervision
- Edit machine programs as needed
- Select proper tooling for machining sequences
- Determine machining processes, feeds, and speeds
- Maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes
- Instruct and mentor less skilled machinists and operators
- Perform finishing work such as deburring and sanding
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Demonstrate company core values
Education Requirements:
- Associate or technical degree in Machining with 5–7 years of experience on complex equipment
- OR
- 8–10 years of experience with complex machining equipment
- OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High proficiency in CNC setup and operation
- Strong knowledge of tooling, machining sequences, speeds, and feeds
- Advanced shop math skills
- Thorough understanding of part inspection methods
- Ability to train and instruct other machinists
- Programming experience is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materials
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Visual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
