Job DescriptionBasic Function and Scope of Responsibilities

The Member Services Representative II – Rover is responsible for delivering exceptional member service via in-person interactions and phone communication by processing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Open and close accounts. Perform account maintenance and ensure daily transaction accuracy and cash balancing. Manage vault operations and maintain teller cash machines. Promote Credit Union products and services to meet member needs.

Location:

  • Majority of time will be spent in the Springfield branch.
  • For example: Four days working in Springfield and one day in Parkson, subject to change.
  • Will cover absences for lead MSRs in Springfield and Parkston.
  • May be asked to fill in at the Yankton branch when needed.

What You’ll Do

As an MSR II Rover, you’ll be a key part of our front-line team, delivering personalized service and operational excellence. Your responsibilities include:

  • Member Transactions: Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, cashier’s checks, and money orders.
  • Account Services: Open and close accounts (including IRAs, business accounts, and share certificates) and handle maintenance requests (address changes, stop payments, etc.).
  • Debit Card Support: Assist with ordering, disputes, fraud alerts, instant issue, and inventory tracking.
  • Cash Management: Balance cash drawers, vaults, teller cash machines (TCR/TCD), and coin machines.
  • Mentorship: Train and support teammates under management guidance.
  • Sales & Service: Identify member needs and recommend credit union products and services.
  • Problem Solving: Research and resolve inquiries related to deposits, cleared checks, bill pay, and debit card transactions.
  • Compliance: Maintain BSA compliance and help identify suspicious activity.
  • Flexibility: Cover absences and assist other branches as needed.
