Job Summary:

The Gandara Center, located in Springfield/Holyoke, MA, seeks Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) candidates to join our The Gandara Center. Our clinics provide a dynamic setting offering quality, comprehensive services to a wide variety of clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in an outpatient setting
  • Seeing children, adolescents and adults
  • Meet with clients to complete Individual Psychiatric Evaluations and assess for immediate needs
  • Continue to continuity of care with medication follow up appointments
  • Documentation including assessments, progress notes and collateral contacts
  • Be available for consultation when needed, to staff and other service providers
  • Prescription and management of psychiatric needs
  • Ensure quality care is delivered to clients within a therapeutic environment in a cost-effective manner
  • Demonstrate behaviors that recognize the rights of clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a Master’s Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited school of nursing
  • License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience: 1 year (preferred) of working with a variety of psychiatric disorders
  • Working Conditions: Normal office environment, however, the job requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional lifting/ carrying up to 25lbs. unassisted; ability to communicate with all levels of internal staff and outside collaterals; exposure to data/ information which must remain confidential; flexibility in work hours and project assignments
