Job Summary:
The Provider Enrollment and Credentialing Coordinator supports critical credentialing and data accuracy functions for a high-visibility client project. The role focuses on reviewing, validating, and reconciling provider data across systems, including Windward and Cactus. Accuracy is the top priority—speed is secondary. The specialist ensures credentialing files are complete, compliant, and properly documented while supporting ongoing onboarding and NCQA-related processes in a fully remote setting.Key Responsibilities:
- Review, clean up, and verify provider data across Symplr Credentialing, Windward, and other systems.
- Cross-reference incoming file data with Windward, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved and system records match.
- Maintain exceptional data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process initial, re-apply, and re-credentialing activities for incoming and existing providers.
- Verify licensure, NPI, insurance, DEA, CDS, education, hospital privileges, and board certification.
- Review NPDB reports and evaluate any adverse actions.
- Review OIG, SAM, and Medicare Opt-Out reports for exclusion checks.
- Monitor provider complaints and utilization management reports.
- Enter provider information into Windward and Cactus credentialing databases; maintain data integrity.
- Ensure files meet credentialing requirements and flag issues for committee review.
- Assist in meeting required turnaround times and accuracy expectations.
- Support site review scheduling and payment system enrollments.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and NCQA certification activities.
- Represent the organization professionally and maintain strict confidentiality of provider information.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of job-related experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with interruptions.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, workflow tools, and time-tracking systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and credentialing websites.
- Comfortable working more than 40 hours during high-volume periods.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Prior experience with data coordination or file processing.
- Knowledge of dental terminology.
- Experience with credentialing systems or healthcare provider data.
