Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery (5S Unit)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45219
Job Type: Travel Contract (8 Weeks)
Shift: Night Shift
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced General Surgery unit. This role requires clinical expertise, strong critical thinking, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for a diverse patient population in alignment with professional nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, age-specific, and culturally competent patient care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical nursing standards
- Adapt to changes in patient care needs and clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing (ADN or equivalent)
- Active RN license (Ohio or Compact State)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in Medical-Surgical or General Surgery units
