Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students' learning and development as a 1:1 Paraprofessional in a school setting located in Putney, VT. This contract position provides an opportunity to work closely with a student who requires individualized assistance, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed in the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one support to a student with specific educational needs
- Assist with academic tasks, behavior management, and daily activities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the educational team
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional, preferably in a 1:1 support role
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to students’ unique needs
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Understanding of classroom procedures and educational support strategies
- Commitment to supporting student growth in a professional school environment
