As we continue to take on high-value, high-impact contracts, we are seeking a seasoned Electrical Foreman to lead our field operations.
Position Summary
The Electrical Foreman will be responsible for the on-site leadership and management of large-scale commercial projects ranging from $500k to $10M. This role requires a master-level understanding of electrical systems, exceptional "big picture" project management skills, and the ability to effectively lead crews of 10 to 40+ electricians. You will be the primary bridge between the field, the project manager, and other trades.
Responsibilities
- Site Leadership: Oversee daily operations for crews of 10 to 40 people, ensuring maximum productivity and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Project Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of large-scale projects (up to $10M), ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
- Technical Oversight: Read and interpret complex blueprints, site plans, and one-line diagrams; layout the project for the crew to ensure accurate installation.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to NEC, OSHA, and local codes, fostering a "safety-first" culture on every job site.
- Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trade leads to resolve conflicts and prevent delays.
- Resource Management: Track material inventory, manage tool requirements, and forecast manpower needs to prevent shortages.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure all installations meet R&R’s high standards and project specifications.
- Mentorship: Train and develop junior electricians and apprentices, ensuring the next generation of R&R talent is skilled and safety-conscious.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience, with a proven track record in a leadership or foreman role.
- Project History: Demonstrated experience running commercial/industrial projects in the $500k – $10M range.
- Leadership: Expert ability to manage large teams (up to 40 people) and delegate tasks effectively based on skill levels.
- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), conduit bending, panel schedules, and motor controls.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues on the fly and make executive decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and directing crews.
- Licensing: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; valid driver’s license required.
