Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role requires someone who is detail oriented, with strong expertise in creating and managing financial reports, particularly in Excel, to drive data consolidation and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in fund accounting, endowment analysis, and possess the ability to build reporting structures from scratch. Responsibilities:
• Build comprehensive financial reporting structures from scratch using advanced Excel techniques.
• Develop reusable templates and dashboards to provide consolidated financial information.
• Perform detailed analysis of endowments, grants, and other revenue sources to ensure accurate reporting.
• Create and maintain easy-to-use reporting platforms for streamlined data access.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address reporting needs.
• Utilize fund accounting knowledge to differentiate and manage restricted versus non-restricted funds.
• Generate accurate and timely financial reports, including annual and SEC filings.
• Provide insights through financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with all financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Propose improvements to reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.• Proven experience in financial reporting, including SEC filings and annual reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and templates.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and practices.
• Expertise in analyzing endowments, grants, and other revenue streams.
• Ability to design and implement reporting structures from the ground up.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present data and insights to stakeholders.
