Job Title: Technical Writer – Data Analytics & Reporting
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote on Fridays)
Reports to: Manager, Technology – Data Analytics & Reporting

We are responsible for shaping the end-to-end digital and physical guest experience through technology across Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, Merchandise, and key initiatives.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our Data Analytics & Reporting team. This role is crucial in creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for data tools, processes, and technologies. You will collaborate with data engineers and other cross-functional teams to simplify complex technical content for a broad audience.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation including:
- Data dictionaries
- Data models
- API guides
- Integration manuals
- User manuals and tutorials for data platforms and tools
- Document data workflows and system architectures
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content
Discovery and Research
- Collaborate with technical teams (engineers, QA, stakeholders) to gather accurate and up-to-date information
- Participate in meetings and walkthroughs to fully understand technical processes and data flows
Quality and Consistency
- Adhere to company documentation standards and style guides
- Maintain version control and ensure timely updates as systems evolve
- Continuously review documentation to reflect current workflows and technologies
Work Environment
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote
- Location: Candidates must be local to Orlando, FL and available to commute onsite 4 days a week
- Interview Process:
- First-round panel interview
- Potential second-round with leadership
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in data or related fields
- Experience with data technologies such as:
- SQL, Python
- ETL tools
- Snowflake
- Data visualization platforms
- Strong writing/editing skills with a focus on clarity and audience-appropriate content
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and how to document requests, responses, and parameters
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience using documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Git)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
Preferred
- Strong portfolio of writing samples, including API docs, user guides, or data documentation
- Understanding of data warehousing and data visualization best practices
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (SQL, Python)
